Hudson Bay Point Blanket Quilt from Night Owl Quilting

Wendy brought the Hudson's Bay Point Blanket Quilt that she made for some special friends.  Wendy didn't want straight line quilting, so we kept with the Canadian theme and added the Maple Syrup pantograph.

Wendy add a beautiful cream Fireside on the back for an extra cozy finish.

My Canada Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Caron made this fantastic quilt using the My Canada collection from Northcott.  The pattern is Home Quarter from Highway 10 Designs and is a relaxing make using Fat Quarters.

Caron selected the Maple Syrup pantograph to continue the theme.  You can't see much of it on the front with the wide variety of prints, but it sure looks great on the grey Fireside backing.

Broken Herringbone from Night Owl Quilting

Bridy made this great quilt using the "From Far and Wide" fabric collection from Kate and Birdie.  This truly Canadian collection is really interesting in a non traditional colour palette.  This pattern is Broken Herringbone from Violet Craft.

Bridy chose the Maple Syrup pantograph which fits the theme perfectly.  Bridy treated herself to more fabric from the collection for the quilt back and the pantograph shows up really well there.

Little Owl & More from Night Owl Quilting

I have been so busy quilting that I haven't kept up with sharing photos.  Time to change that and share 3 lovely little quilts today.  First up is a joint baby gift made by Shalane with support from Reneta and Amy.  The pattern is called Little Owl by Bound Co.

The group quickly agreed on the Gingersnap pantograph to finish off this darling project.

Next up is a little quilt Reneta put together with the leftover from her Patchwork Swoon Quilt.  Reneta brought the leftover blocks and fabrics to our retreat and popped them up on the design wall ...

My Canada Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Lorraine made this lovely version of the Highway 10 Designs' Home Quarter quilt from a kit she purchased at Keystone Modern Creative.  The fabrics are from Northcott's "My Canada" line.

Lorraine selected the Maple Syrup Pantograph for a very fitting finish.

If you have a fat quarter bundle lying around, Home Quarter is a great pattern.  The large pieces let you enjoy the fabrics you fell in love with, and it is easy to manage directional prints as well.  Sizes from lap to king are included.

Blue Kaleidoscope and more from Night Owl Quilting

This beautiful Kaleidoscope quilt was made by Karen.  All of the blocks are cut from the single fabric you see in the inner border.  The variation always amazes me.

Karen selected the Flower Child Pantograph and I used a graphite colored So Fine thread for the quilting.

Karen often makes interesting pieced backings and this is the first time I saw a zipper back and I love it!

This second quilt Karen sent was made from the leftover of this Shadow Box quilt.  She chose the Maple Syrup Pantograph which looks great on the front and with the print on ...

The backing fabric that Kristine sent couldn't be more perfect!  I love it!  I think I may need to put more effort into finding cool quilt backings....

Shelly's Lovely Leaves from Night Owl Quilting

Shelly made this lovely maple leaf quilt.  The pattern is from the Sweet Celebrations book by Moda.

She selected the Maple Syrup Pantograph and Quilter's Dream Blend batting.

Shelly pieced some of the leftovers from the blocks into the backing to not let anything go to waste.  All the solid fabrics sure do let the quilting design shine!

True North Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Kristine made this lovely version of Home Quarter by Highway 10 Designs.  The fabric colleciton is called True North by Kate and Birdie for Moda.  I am looking forward to True North 2 that will be coming to quilt stores later this fall.

Kristine selected the Maple Syrup panto (Perfect right?) and red thread.  Choosing red is always a bit scary as it can sometimes be stronger than you want, but it just enhanced the top. She used a lovely grey flannel on the back and I used a grey thread in the bobbin to match.

Home Quarter is a ...

Happy Canada Day! from Night Owl Quilting

Happy Canada Day!  What a perfect day to share this great quilt made by Liz for her grandson's graduation.  The fabric she used is from Northcott's Canadian Sesquicentennial Collection.

Liz selected the Maple Syrup Pantograph to continue with the theme.  I used So Fine #456 is Goose Down to blend across the reds and beiges.  I think the whole thing turned out great and that Liz has a very lucky grandson!

Holly Taylor Summer Nights and Northern Lights from Night Owl Quilting

Margaret brought this lovely quilt that was made from Holly Taylor's Summer Nights and Northern Lights fabric line.   I think it would be fair to say, that like a fine wine, this fabric was given a bit of time to mature in her stash...   Margaret just purchased a new waterfront home and this quilt is going to be for one of the bunkhouses on the property.

Margaret used the panel elements and coordinating yardage to come up with this beautiful quilt.

To coordinate with the lovely maple leaf print, Margaret chose the Maple Syrup pantograph.

I used a light ...
